The great Goosebumps The show’s executive producers spell out Season 1’s cliffhanger. The TV revival of Goosebumps Concludes with some surprises. Although the core group believes they have managed to banish Kanduu (Chris Greere), the evil sorcerer who is trapped inside the body of Slappy the Dummy, a last-minute scene reveals that Mr. Bratt (Justin Long) may not be able to get rid of him. he. still. An even bigger surprise occurs when Margot (Isa Briones) calls upon Kanduu’s dark magic to save Isaiah (Zack Morris), who would have otherwise succumbed to his gunshot wound.
In an interview with ComicBook.comexecutive producers Hilary Winston, Nick Stoller and Rob Letterman spoke about the Goosebumps Season 1 finale, which Stoller and Letterman wrote, with David Grossman directing. Winston, who is also the showrunner, spoke specifically about the casting of Margot and how it’s a moment that echoes the premiere episode. In the following quote, Winston also talks about Bratt and how everything is united by a theme of “be careful what you wish for“:
Rob has always talked about it, when I started on the show with Rob and Nick, they said one of the most important things about Goosebumps is ‘Be careful what you wish for.’ That’s why it was very important to us that the season ended with that idea; be careful what you wish for. then margo[t] he feels guilty. She has had a relationship with Lucas, but she has always been in love with Isaiah. She saved him in the pilot with traps and now here she is, saving him again. And because he wants to come back, and then that idea of her bringing him back is what allows Kanduu to return to Mr. Bratt. And Bratt’s whole story is to be careful what you wish for. He wants so badly to be this writer, to be successful, to have this, that he is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve it.
Why Goosebumps Season 2 Is Likely
Although it is not confirmed yet, there are positive signs that the cliffhangers of Goosebumps will be answered with season 2. At the beginning of the young adult horror series, Disney boasted that the new Goosebumps got 4.2 million total views for its premiere episode in its first three days of being on Hulu and Disney+. It also stood out as Disney Branded Television’s most-watched season debut for 2023 on both Disney+ and Hulu, as well as the biggest streaming season premiere since Monsters at work in 2021.
The force of Goosebumps has not decreased since then. According to Nielsen, which tracks streaming ratings, the revival was watched for 594 million minutes over its first six episodes. This was enough to put Goosebumps near the top of the charts, a spot often occupied by Netflix originals. It’s even more significant for Disney+, which has expressed its desire to move beyond a heavy reliance on Marvel and Star Wars series.
All this points to the fact that Goosebumps Season 2 will revisit the complicated relationship between Isaiah and Margot, as well as his cliffhanger with Bratt. There are also other characters like James (Miles McKenna), Isabella (Ana Yi Puig) and Lucas (Will Price), each of whom have different amounts of unresolved plot threads.
