You might be interested in setting up Amazon’s Alexa to wake you up to the sound of a rooster crowing, or not. Either way, Alexa can offer it as a tip, along with news headlines, ads, weather updates, and various information Amazon deems worthy of your attention. Unless you prefer to view photos of your choice using a service called Photo Frame.
Using photo frame on your Echo Show
Alexa is great, but not perfect. Alexa has issues at times: the number of notifications shown daily can be one, depending on your preference. Regardless of which Echo Show model is right for you, their notifications don’t have much to do with your input by default.
Set up photo frame
Changing your Echo notification settings manually can be a challenge. But if you say “Alexa, start Photo Frame”, your device will show you photos of your family, friends, etc. The only screen is a small date line at the bottom right with information about the photo being displayed.
1. From the home screen, tap devices.
2. Tap Echo & Alexa.
3. Scroll down and tap your Echo Show device.
4. Scroll down to PHOTO VIEW.
5. From here, adjust options including photos from your personal Amazon photos, Facebook or Amazon stock photos.
Photo Frame is available in the United States, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Australia and the UK. It is compatible with all Echo Show models. Unlike other smart home assistants, setting up Photo Frame will disable pretty much all other notifications.
And after three hours, Alexa will automatically suggest recipes and tell jokes again at your command

Knock Knock Who’s there? It’s Alexa, with another knee-clapping joke. But if you don’t care who’s there, and you don’t think you’ll find Alexa’s joke funny, useful, or interesting, start Photo Frame. After all, it is your smart home and you have to choose the information that goes into it.
