An Uber driver in Dallas has gone viral after she posted a story video exposing a man who allegedly cheated on his wife. The video has been viewed more than 7.3 million times since it was posted on September 21.
TikToker Roni (@perfectly_unbroken) claims she was driving for Uber when she got a ride to pick up a man from his home. She says she saw the man leave his house, along with his wife and children, who came out to say goodbye.
When he got into the car, the man is said to have said to Roni: “I added a stopover.” After arriving at the next stop, Roni says a woman got in the car and said, “I’m so glad you’re finally away from your damn wife.” The TikToker adds that the two also started kissing in the back seat. According to Roni, it wasn’t a “hi, how are you” kind of kiss.”
The man then told Roni that he had changed the drop-off location, which she acknowledged. Roni claims the woman in the back of her car started saying things like, “I’m tired of you scaring me. When are you leaving?” The man was noncommittal, saying that he had to “make things right” and that they would “talk about this later”.
But the man and his mistress had a surprise coming.
“Keep in mind I was about five miles from his house,” Roni informs her viewers. The Uber driver says she drove back to the original pickup point and told the couple to get out of her car “at his house, where his wife and kids were.”
“Pull shit like that in my car and you’ll get it done in no time,” Roni tells viewers in no uncertain terms. “Be better people. Doing better in life.”
Many of the viewers who responded to the video were amused by the situation.
“Should have picked up Adam Levine,” said TikTok creator @tonioskits, referring to the recent cheating scandal involving Maroon Five singer Adam Levine and Instagram model Sumner Stroh.
“I’m voting for you for the presidency,” said another.
However, not everyone appreciated the Uber driver’s actions when it came to her cheating customers.
One user commented: “Idk, I just feel like it was none of your business. I get it, but what if the woman wasn’t ready to take it…’
However, Roni had addressed this in the video. She claims that when she drives for Uber, everything that happens in her car is basically her business.
“Understand something. This is my car. I work for myself. I am an independent contractor,” she says. “If I choose to end your ride, that’s my choice. Uber is not going to fire me, Uber is not going to ban me, Uber is not going to get rid of me. If you do something stupid in my car, I have the right to do it as I see fit.”
Most TikTok users seemed to agree with Roni’s response to the man’s infidelity.
“Then you start honking to let the woman know he’s home,” said one user.
Another joked, “Don’t bring my husband back.”
When a person in response asked if the woman was coming out, Roni confirmed she did. Roni also said she was planning to make an update video and the woman had contacted her.
contacted Roni via email and Instagram direct message.
