The new Marvel Cinematic Universe gives Jon Bernthal’s Punisher a gory, comical costume, imagining what he might look like in Daredevil: Born Again. Following Netflix Reckless TV Show, Matt Murdock Gets Another Chance to Lead an MCU TV Show as He’s Set to Star Daredevil: Born Again for Disney+ and Marvel Studios. Although it will not serve as Reckless season 4, Daredevil: Born Again will continue the adventures of the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen as part of Phase 5.
Daredevil: Born Again It will see Bernthal’s Punisher return to screens, having last been seen in his own Netflix show which was canceled after two seasons. As the world speculates about how Frank Castle will factor into the series, graphic artist Arkin Tyagi Shared art of Bernthal’s MCU character wearing a costume more faithful to the comic.
Tyagi shared that they would love to see a “Classic Punisher back to basics in the MCU,” stating that he used “90s anime aesthetic” when designing an older look for Bernthal. Frank’s original Punisher costume came to life at the end of Reckless season 2, which serves as the setting for Bernthal’s spin-off show.

Not only will Daredevil: Born Again I have a showrunner who knows how to work with the Punisher, but Bernthal’s return to the MCU comes just as Marvel Studios finally starts to enter similar territory to the Marvel shows on Netflix. Time will tell what other plans the MCU has in store for Punisher after his arc in Daredevil: Born Again.
