May 15 (Reuters) – The net profit of Grupo SURA, Colombia’s largest private equity firm, nearly doubled in the first quarter compared to the same period last year, the company said in a statement on Monday.
The company posted a net profit of 834.3 billion pesos for the January to March period, while its quarterly revenue rose nearly 40% to 9.6 trillion pesos. (Reporting by Valentine Hilaire and Luis Jaime Acosta; editing by David Alire Garcia)
