The third season of Jonathan Frakes of Star Trek directing Strange New Worlds is confirmed


Jonathan Frakes confirms that he will direct Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3 as hit Paramount+ series ramps up production in Toronto. I’m returning to Toronto to direct Strange New Worlds. I’m about to head back into the studio to revoice some stuff for a video game called Star Trek: Resurgence, and I have a couple more non-Star Trek projects that can now plug in and start over. It’s been a very interesting time off, so I’m very grateful to be able to participate in the convention circuit.


What we know about Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3

Strange New Worlds season 2 ended on an epic cliffhanger.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 was just days away from starting production in May when the Writer’s Guild of America went on strike, followed by SAG-AFRA in July. But once the dual strikes were resolved, Strange new worlds is moving quickly to begin filming season 3 with a December start date and production will reportedly continue through July 2024.
