Watch Illinois vs. Chattanooga: Live Stream, TV Channel, Start Time for Thursday’s NCAA Football Game

Who’s playing

Chattanooga @ Illinois

Current records: Chattanooga 3-0; Illinois 2-1

What to know

The Illinois Fighting Illini will stay at home for another week, welcoming the Chattanooga Mocs to Memorial Stadium at 8:30 PM and Sept. 22. Both teams meander into the matchup, bolstered by comfortable wins in their previous games.

Everything went in Fighting Illini’s favor against the Virginia Cavaliers last week as they took off with a 24-3 win. The team walked away with 21 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those in the second to take the win. RB Chase Brown was the offensive highlight of the game for Illinois, taking 146 yards on the ground on 20 carries.

The Illinois defense was also on hand, as it moved past Virginia’s offensive line to fire the quarterback five times for a total loss of 39 yards. It was a group effort with zero guys contributing.

Meanwhile, if there was any doubt as to why Chattanooga was a firm favorite on Saturday, the team quickly dispelled those doubts. They made easy work of the North Alabama Lions on Saturday, taking a 41-14 win.

Their wins push Illinois to 2-1 and the Mocs to 3-0. Both the Fighting Illini and Chattanooga have had easy wins in recent history. We’ll see whose ego takes a hit when they face each other.
